In an effort to bring an end to the fighting in eastern Ukraine, leaders of Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France have agreed on a cease-fire deal following marathon talks in Germany.
The ceasefire, which would begin on February 15, would involve the withdrawal of heavy weapons from conflict areas.
Though some of the issues were yet to be resolved, pro-Russian rebels in eastern Ukraine have signed the agreement.
French President, Francois Hollande, said he and German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, would ask their European Union partners to support the deal at a summit on Thursday, February 12.
Thousands of people have been killed in almost a year of fighting in the region.
