Following last Friday’s attack on the Kano Central Mosque, the United Nations, UN has promised its “full support” for Nigeria in the battle to bring an end to terrorism in the country.
This was contained in a statement issued by Ban Ki-Moon, the UN Secretary-General.
Ki-Moon while condemning the act, stated that there was no justification whatsoever for the attacks on civilians.
He reasserted that “the full support of the UN to Nigeria’s efforts to fight terrorism and to provide security to the population consistent with international law and Nigeria’s human rights obligations.”
The Secretary-General also sent his “deepest condolences to the families of the deceased and to the people and Government of Nigeria.”Follow Us on Social Media
