Femi Ojudu, a Senator representing Ekiti Central, has alleged that a group of gunmen attacked his residence along Iworoko road, Ado Ekiti, around 2am on Saturday. “Gunmen attacked my house shooting sporadically, left and came back around 4am but were restricted by some policemen that came after the first attack,” he said.
However, Dipo Anisulowo, Chief of Staff to Ekiti State governor denied the allegation. “When I heard about the attack, I spoke with a party member around the place and he confirmed that there was no shooting at all in the area. Propaganda cannot win this election but performance,” he said.
Meanwhile, Taiwo Lakanu, deputy commissioner of police, told the magazine that the state command is not aware of the attack.
