Have you heard of the rebirth of Notre Dame?

Is that another Jesus or who is so called?

Look at this fake Christian! So, with all these your claims of BORNAGAINISM and shouts of JESUS SAVES and BLOOD OF JESUS every blessed day you don’t know anything about Notre Dame, Cathedral, one of the most iconic religious landmarks in the world?

Honestly, I have never heard of any Notre Dame or no Notre before since my mama born me, sir.

Look at you! Where are you from?

From Kwara State, precisely from Isanlu Sin.

Lobatan! You don’t even know your town not to talk of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

I know it, sir. Isalu Sin.

That’s even worster! Isalu Sin ko. Isalu Criminal ni. If indeed that is your town it is pronounced Isanlu Isin not Isalu Sin.

I thought I got it right.

Right ko, left ni. You say you are Catholic?

Yes, sir.

And you are from Kwara State?

Yes, sir.

And you never heard of Notre Dame Girls College in Oro before? One of the iconic Christian colleges in the whole North? But I guess you must have heard of Cardinal Sin.

Yes, sir. Cardinal Sin who may become Pope one day, sir.

"Notre Dame…, the magnificent Gothic Cathedral…built in the 12th century…suffered serious damages as a result of a huge fire accident about five years ago and is being born again today after a painstaking and expensive repair job….… Share on X

Is that why you renamed your village Sin?

No, sir. I don’t really know much about my locality very well. But if it is Lagos and environs, I know the in and out of everywhere because I was “burnt bread and buttered” in Isale Eko. That’s why I don’t know Oro or Isanlu Sin (sic). But I know Cardinal Sin.

Coming back to the Notre Dame story, the magnificent Gothic Cathedral which was built in the 12th century, and which has been a symbol of Paris and the French nation for centuries suffered serious damages as a result of a huge fire accident about five years ago and is being born again today after a painstaking and expensive repair job. But the story really is not about the civil engineering feat in restoring the architectural beauty of the iconic landmark but that of the global response in terms of solidarity support for the rebuilding project which is estimated to have cost about one billion dollars.

Impossican’t! Billion dollars? From offerings or what?

Where there is a will there is a way. The whole world rallied round to assist in the extraordinarily expensive gambit. Donations started pouring in like confetti. Reports have it that even while the building was still smotherin about $400million was raised. Incredible!

Wow!

Yes. That shows something though. That the world will be a better place if the spirit to help one another continues to grow regardless of political and religious differences. BE YOUR BROTHER’S KEEPER.

The new old motto?

No, the old new credo.
