Senegal records first Ebola case

Barely one week after shutting its borders against countries with Ebola Virus Disease, EVD, Senegal has recorded first case of Ebola outbreak, report says.

It was reported that Awa Marie Coll Seck, Senegal’s health minister, who confirmed the case said the disease was brought into the country by a 21-year-old Conakry University student from Guinea.

This has brought to five, the number of countries affected by the virus; killing over 1,550 persons so far after hitting the west African continent.
