Obafemi Martins, Nigerian international footballer has praised Akinwumi Ambode, governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Lagos State for coming up with a youth friendly program in his campaign manifesto.
Martins said by launching the program tagged, project T.H.E.S.E: Tourism, Hospitality, Entertainment and Arts, Sports and Excellence the former accountant general of the state has shown that he has the best programme for youths including sports as a lucrative vocation in Lagos.
The Seattle Sounders FC player expressed optimism that Ambode’s vision as captured in his manifesto to use sports, entertainment and tourism sectors to create jobs for the teeming youths of the state reveals that he is worthy of the votes of every Lagosian.
Expressing confidence in Ambode’s ability to lead the mega city to greater heights, Martins, 31, said he was glad to associate with the governorship candidate and the APC campaign rally at Oworonshoki playing ground. ”I believe a sports-loving governor is what Mr. Ambode represents,” Martins stated on Monday.
