Van Kills Man On Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

A Toyota Hilux van, with registration number AAA-635AQ, this afternoon, rammed into two commuters, killing one of them.

According to an eye witness, the accident which occurred along the Ojodu Berger expressway near Fagbems filling station happened after theToyota vehicle, which was carrying a cow and racing towards the Lagos end of the expressway, lost one of its tyres on motion. This led the driver to lose control and in the melee, hit two men who were about to cross the expressway. The men were said to have successfully crossed one end of the dual carriageway and were about dashing to the other side when the tragedy occurred.

The accident immediately caused heavy traffic in the area and attracted some road safety officials who carried the dead body away. However, the two persons in the Hilux and the cow survived the accident.
