‘I was never admitted in a London hospital’ – Tinubu

Bola Tinubu, National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, on arrival yesterday in Lagos dismissed claims that he was ill and admitted in a London hospital.

The former governor of Lagos State who said, “I am solid, fit as a fiddle. I never needed Panadol, except when I visited my friend, the dentist,” claimed he only went on a five-week vacation outside the country to “study and strategise on how to turn around the APC to take over government from the ruling party which has lost focus”.

He accused the ruling party of spreading falsehood because they wanted to know at every time his whereabouts and what he was up to politically. He therefore asked God to forgive them for wishing him ill health, stating the last time he travelled abroad for treatment was for a kneel injury and he made it public.

Tinubu said the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had lost direction and the confidence of Nigerians in providing leadership.

However, the Lagos chapter of the PDP believes the state government and the APC are hiding facts about the state of health of Tinubu.

A statement issued by Taofik Gani, its Publicity Secretary, said Lagosians were interested in knowing the true state of health of the former governor “whose medical bill is being paid with their taxes.”
