Sam Nda-Isaiah, publisher, Leadership Newspaper has emphasized the need for Nigeria to run as a true federal system if the country must develop to the desired level.

He said this during a courtesy visit to the corporate headquarters of TELL Communications Limited, publishers of TELL Magazine and Broad Street Journal, BSJ.

Nda-Isaiah who came to TELL to formally announce his intention to vie for the Presidency in 2015, said running a true federation will make Nigeria richer as there will be competition among the component states for development. “We are a federal republic, let’s run a federal system if we do that the country will be richer,” he said.

While fielding questions from a team of TELL editors, Nda-Isaiah listed education, telecommunication and security as some of the priorities his administration would focus on if elected. “We must try to teach people to be employers of labour by changing the ground norm of education in the country to the world standard,” he said.

On security, the presidential aspirant is of the opinion that President Goodluck Jonathan has not done enough in tackling the menace of Boko Haram. “Boko Haram is the clearest example of failure in this country. The president must be directly involved if we must win the fight,” he said.

Ndah-Isiah expressed confidence that he would win the Presidential ticket of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
