Boko Haram Gives Condition for Release of Kidnapped Girls

Boko Haram insurgents have released a new video showing the kidnapped Chibok Secondary School girls and promised to release them on the condition that the Nigerian government release its imprisoned members.

In the video recording made available to AFP on Monday, Abubakar Shekau, the sect’s leader was shown vowing to hold on to the girls until all imprisoned militants had been freed.

Shekau claimed that the girls have converted to Islam and showed them in the video praying.

Boko Haram abducted over 200 girls in the northeast state on April 14 and threatened to sell them in a previously released video.
