Abducted Schoolgirls: Nigeria Police Offer N50m Reward

The Nigeria Police Force has offered a reward of N50 million to anyone who can give information that would help in locating and rescuing more than 200 girls abducted in Borno by suspected Boko Haram terrorists.

Abubakar Shekau, leader of the Nigerian Terrorists’ sect, admitted in a video on Monday that the group truly kidnapped the girls from their school on April 14, adding that he would sell the girls as God has ordered him to.

Eight more girls were reportedly abducted in Warabe, Chibok Local Government Area of Borno State on Sunday.

The Nigerian Police gave six telephone numbers and announced that anyone who volunteers credible information that will lead to the location and rescue of the female students will be rewarded with N50 million cash.

The statement from the Nigerian Police Force called on the general public to be part of the solution to present security challenges in the country and assured that any information provided would be treated anonymously and with utmost confidentiality.
