There are indications that the Lagos state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, who has been on treatment for Covid-19, may soon return to work. Akin Abayomi, professor and commissioner for health in the state made the revelation on his twitter handle early Monday. Abayomi said the governor was improving and may return to work soon.

The commissioner said, “We are waiting for a complete clearance of the virus, so that Mr. Governor can resume public activities.”

The commissioner also used the opportunity to encourage residents of Lagos state not to lower their guards in keeping with the protocol announced to keep the pandemic in check.

Governor Sanwo-Olu recently tested positive to the virus and had to go on self isolation. He is said to be observing the isolation at home.
