Why I am Happy Over Tribunal Victory- Bala Mohammed

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has expressed happiness over his victory. He said though his supporters would expect him to host a big celebration. he is however happy that the distraction caused by the petition instituted by his opponents has been put to rest. He, therefore, implored his opponents to shield their sword and join hands with him in his further efforts to raise the bar of good governance in Bauchi State. He said, “Naturally, I am relieved and happy that this distraction has been put aside.” He stated this while delivery a speech after the tribunal judgement.
He credited the victory to God “who gives power to whom He wishes and takes it without consulting the holder.” The dismissal of the distraction is not the only reason that has made the governor happy. Another reason is the humbling of certain persons who see themselves as power brokers who can make or mar someone’s destiny.
Speaking further, Governor Mohammed stated that “It is an unambiguous statement that despite the mischief of political merchants who arrogate to themselves kingmaker status and deceive some of our unsuspecting compatriots into believing that they can determine the destiny of others, God still reign in the affairs of His creations.”
Soon as the verdict was read, supporters went in good number to the government house to celebrate with him.
The tribunal had dismissed the petition by Sadique Abubakar, retired Air Commodore and candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, at the last March 18 governorship election, thereby affirming the election of Mohammed.
