Sunday John Ntephe and Olomosu Kola, have been jailed, 1-year for obtaining the sum of N125, 000 by false pretense from one Adetiba Oluwafemi.
They were convicted yesterday, October 9 by Justice Kudirat Jose of the Lagos State High Court, Ikeja, on a two-count-charge bordering on advance fee fraud and obtaining money under false pretense.
The duo was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC before the court on September 30, 2014.
The convicts pleaded guilty to the charges and prayed the court to temper justice with mercy.
In her judgement, Justice Jose sentenced them to 1-year imprisonment each without an option of fine and ordered them to pay N100,000 to the victim as restitution.
