After weeks of speculations, Aminu Tambuwal, Speaker of the House of Representatives, has formally decamped to the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Tambuwal said he left the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, his former party to pursue his political ambition in Sokoto, his state of origin.
The Speaker is said to have dumped the PDP to contest for governorship in Sokoto on the platform of his new party.
Prior to his formal declaration, Tambuwal has been politically sympathetic to members of the APC at the green chamberswhile he has absconded from several functions organised by the PDP.
