The Nigerian Football Supporters Club has contracted music star, Joshua Iniyezo also known as Solidstar as its Ambassador for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
The deal would have Solidstar compose and perform the official Super Eagles theme song which will be used to unite and inspire the players on and off the pitch.
Rafiu Oladipo who represented the Nigeria Football Federation and doubles as president of the supporters club explained the choice of Solidstar.
“We picked Solidstar because we needed someone who is passionate about Nigeria football, who has that gyration in his voice and who the new and old generation can relate with.”
The “Skibo” and “Omotena” crooner appreciated the football association and the supporters club and said he is humbled by Oladipo’s kind words and promised he won’t disappoint in the new project.
“Expect something gyrating, something that will lift the spirit of the whole players, coaching staff, the supporters and the whole country,” Solidstar assured.
