Shola Ameobi, Super Eagles striker, has joined Crystal Palace, an English Premiership outfit till the end of the season.
He left Gaziantep, a Turkish club, where he scored four goals in 11 appearances in December.
Ameobi, who scored 79 goals in 397 appearances for Newcastle United, left the St James’ Park last year after spending 14 years at the club.
The move reunites Ameobi with Alan Pardew, a former Newcastle manager, who was recently appointed as new manager for Crystal Palace.
Crystal palace will play against Everton at home on Saturday and Ameobi is expected to play a key role in that match.
