Yemi Osinbajo, Vice Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC and former Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice is not a man that can be easily waved aside. He is a Professor of Law, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and Senior Partner in the Law firm of Simmons Cooper Partner.

He attended the University of Lagos and the London School of Economics for his LLB and LLM degrees, respectively. Osinbajo, 55, was born in Lagos State into the family of the late Adeyemi.

Before his appointment in 1999 as the Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, a position he held for 8 years by the Bola Tinubu led government, he was lecturer in the University of Lagos where he became a professor of public law and was subsequently appointed as the Head of Department of public law in the Faculty of Lawin the same university in 1997 for 2 years (1997-1999).

Apart from his notable career records, Osinbajo is also a religious leader. He is the chairman, Board of Trustees, BoT of Redeemers University, an establishment of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG.

A former staff member of the United Nations, UN and member of the UN’s Secretary General’s Committee of Experts on Conduct and Discipline of the UN Peacekeeping personnel across the world, Osinbajo is presently Ethics Advisor to the Ethics Committee of the African Development Bank, ADB and one of the Directors of City bank.

Osinbajois a major stakeholder and Board member at Convention on Business Integrity and the Justice Research Institute Limited.

He is married to Dolapo Osinbajo, a grandchild of Obafemi Awolowo and the marriage is blessed with three children.
