The National Universities Commission, NUC has accredited five Postgraduate programmes in Covenant University’s faculty of administration. The departments accredited are: Accounting, Banking and Finance, Business Administration, Industrial Relations, Human Resource Management and Marketing. Similarly, the Marketing Programme of the University has been granted full accreditation by the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, NIMN. These were disclosed by Charles Ayo, Vice-Chancellor of the university in a statement. Speaking on the development, Rowland Worlu, Head of Department of Business Administration pointed out that, by the endorsement, the university now has the capacity to train professionals in the marketing field. According to Worlu, the accreditation status also makes the university a member of NIMN. Covenant University will thus serve as a training and examination centre for the body and any graduate of the programme would automatically qualify for the final stage of the Institute’s professional examination.
