Late Pastor Dare Adeboye May have had Premonition of His Death

President Buhari, Kalu Condole with Enoch Adeboye, RCCG Familiy.

Pastor Dare Adeboye, the 42-year-old late son of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye may have had premonition of his death and had prepared himself for it. A pointer to this was his last tweet on his tweeter handle, PD@DareAdeboye on April 29. His new profile picture in which he was seen stepping out, had the caption “On my Way to Receive the Sceptre of Favour” with a yellow crown emoji and a touch of red, green, blue colours round it. The profile picture had the hashtag “#Cool, Calm and Confirmed in Christ”.

The deceased, until his death on Wednesday, was the second son and third child of the general overseer of the RCCG. TheNewsGuru.com had broken the sad news of the sudden death of Dare who was the pastor in charge of a branch of the church in Akwa Ibom. He was said to have officiated at a church service on Tuesday and retired to his room when he got home with an instruction not to be disturbed. He was however reported to have died in his sleep as he was discovered dead on Wednesday morning.

According to TNG, quoting insider sources, it was when his wife, Temiloluwa Adeboye noticed her husband’s unusual sleeping hours and could not reachshhim on phone that she raised the alarm and he was discovered dead. He was said not to have any record of sickness nor was he on medication before the incident.

The leadership of the church has since confirmed the unfortunate incident with condolences already pouring in to the bereaved family and the church. In his message commiserating with the Adeboye family, President Muhammadu Buhari, Thursday extended deepest sympathies. Femi Adesina, special adviser to the President on media and publicity, said Buhari also commiserated with members of the RCCG on the demise of the Assistant Pastor in charge of Region (Youth) 35, urging them to find comfort in the teachings of the Holy Scriptures that those who have chosen to serve God faithfully will see Him as He is in eternity. “The President prays God Almighty to grant the departed rest in His everlasting kingdom and comfort grieving family, friends and associates.”
The chief whip of the Senate, Orji Uzor Kalu lamented that Dare died in his prime, noting that the deceased was committed to the work of God like his father. According to the former governor of Abia State, “I received with shock and pain the news of the demise of Assistant Pastor (RCCG) in charge of Region (Youth) 35. The late cleric was known to be spiritually gifted like his father. He was strongly committed and dedicated to spreading the gospel beyond his immediate environment.

“The late pastor upheld and sustained the teachings of the Holy Bible in his lifetime, which he exemplified in his way of life. He will be remembered for his good deeds”

Kalu prayed to God to grant the deceased eternal rest and give the RCCG community the fortitude to bear the sad loss. He also extended his heartfelt condolences to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, who is also a Pastor of the RCCG.
Recall that the older Adeboye had celebrated his son on Facebook June last year when he celebrated his 42nd birthday, describing him as his “first miracle child”.

He prayed for him and also prayed that all those seeking a miracle from God would receive it.

His post on Facebook read: “Happy birthday to my son Pst Dee prayers on your 42.

“Our first miracle child. We pray that God will keep his miraculous working power in your life and all those who needs a miracle today, will use you as a point of contact for their own in JESUS name. (Amen) love from Dad, Mom and the whole Adeboye dynasty.”

Popularly referred to as “Pastor D”, the younger pastor was said to be one of the most influential Youth Pastors in RCCG Worldwide. Until his death, Pastor Dare Adeboye was the North Central Youth Evangelist overseeing all the youths, RCF, RCCF and PSF in Niger, Benue, Kwara, Kogi, Nasarawa, Plateau, and FCT. He also held previous positions as the Senior Pastor of RCCG House of Praise, Birmingham, the Provincial Youth Pastor of RCCG, Kaduna Province 1, and RCCG Kaduna Region 8 Youth Pastor.

Late Pastor D was also at different times, the RCCG Youth Affairs National & International Director of Programs, Chairman Organizing Committee of 70hrs Messiah’s Marathon Praise, National Youth Convention and Northern Zone Abuja RCCG SHIFT programs.
