The Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in next Saturday’s governorship election in Edo State, Osagie Ize-Iyamu, has congratulated Chairman of Ocean Marines Solutions, Idahosa Wells Okunbo on his latest international recognition – the Forbes award for his outstanding leadership and for connecting Africa to the world. Okunbo is a prominent billionaire business man of Benin extraction.

In a congratulatory letter to the business mogul and philanthropist, Ize–Iyamu said, “I am elated that such a priceless honour is coming at a time like this. Your rare qualities, enterprise and humanness have received global recognition. From you, I have learnt what it means to be a businessman, and I have learnt that money and popularity will mean nothing if I do not invest in people’s life. You lead quietly, you work quietly and in everything, you are tireless with the strength of ten men and the wisdom of a hundred more.”
Recall that Okunbo was on Saturday presented with the Forbes award which he had dedicated to the poor and downtrodden in Edo State.

Against the backdrop of the vilification of Okunbo by the government of his home state, Ize-Iyamu noted that it was divine and auspicious that when those he had called his brothers had chosen to speak ill of him, the international platform had recognised his invaluable commitment to Africa and the world.
