Nigerian comedian and activist, Mr. Macaroni, has once again set social media ablaze with his unapologetic stance on his past decision to snub Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

Responding to relentless criticism, the outspoken entertainer made it clear that he owes no one an apology and remains firm in his convictions.

“Since you people won’t stop harassing me, next time I see Sanwo-Olu, I still won’t greet him,” he declared, taking a direct jab at those who continue to drag him over the incident. But Macaroni didn’t stop there. He turned his attention to what he calls the toxic culture of tribal bigotry, condemning those who manipulate ethnic sentiments to stir political unrest.

According to him, fueling division for personal or political gain is nothing short of disgraceful, a betrayal not just of one’s tribe but of the nation as a whole.

“When political slaves lose all credibility, they resort to instigating tribal wars just to stay relevant. It’s shameful. But kudos to every Nigerian who sees through their mischief and continues to promote peace and unity.”

The comedian also exposed the hypocrisy of certain individuals who, while publicly criticizing politicians, secretly accept bribes and switch sides. He called out those who once spoke against their governors but later took envelopes behind closed doors, becoming praise singers overnight.

“It burns them to see that not everyone is for sale. They sold their birthright for Kopiko and want everyone else to sell out too, just so they don’t feel alone in their shame and misery.” Despite facing relentless attacks, Macaroni made it clear that he will never betray his conscience just to earn favour from those who oppose him. He admitted that the constant backlash is exhausting but reaffirmed his commitment to staying true to his beliefs.

“I do what I do because I strongly believe in it. Do I get tired of the attacks? Yes. But don’t think for a second that I will compromise my values just so you stop attacking me.”

As the debate rages, his words have sparked yet another wave of reactions. While some hail him as a fearless voice of truth, others question whether his approach is the right one. Love him or hate him, one thing is certain—Macaroni is not backing down.
