2015: Wamakko Sets Up Campaign Committees for APC

As part of strategies to ensure that the All Progressives Congress, APC comes out victorious at the 2015 general elections in Sokoto State, Aliyu Wamakko, the state Governor has inaugurated three different committees to drive the party’s plans.

The committees are: for campaign, reconciliation and contact.

Maigari Dingyadi is the  campaign committee chairman of the party while the reconciliation committee is chaired by Shehu Wurno, former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Morocco. The contact committee on the other hand is headed by Yakubu Maccido.

In addition to that, a 25-man campaign committee was inaugurated in each of the three senatorial districts in Sokoto.

Speaking at the inauguration, Wamakko said the move would unite the party while assuring the people that old and new members of the party would be treated equally.

“All these committees and several others in the pipeline will be operational across the state, including the wards and polling station levels. The members should work with the fear of God and work diligently,” Wamakko said.
