Taylor Swift, a singer said her mother, Andrea Finlay is battling with cancer.
She disclosed this via her Tumbler page, after asking her 57-year-old mother to go to a doctor for checks just to ‘ease some of her worries’.
“I’m saddened to tell you that my mom has been diagnosed with cancer,” she wrote.
She explained that the reason for disclosing the information was because her mother asked her to do it.
She goes on to say “Finlay, wanted you to know because your parents may be too busy juggling everything they’ve got going on to go to the doctor, and maybe you reminding them to go get checked for cancer could possibly lead to an early diagnosis and an easier battle.”
However, Swift did not divulge the nature or severity of the cancer. “I’d like to keep the details of her condition and treatment plans private,” she added.
