Suspected Paris Magazine Gunman Surrenders

One of the gunmen suspected to have carried out a deadly attack on the offices of French satirical magazine that claimed12 lives and injured 11 others on Wednesday, has turned himself over to the French authorities.

Officials have identified Hamyd Mourad, 18, as the suspect currently in police custody. The other two suspects, who are still at large, are Said Kouachi and Cherif Kouachi, two relatives in their 30s.

The suspects are among six people who were sentenced to three years in prison for terrorism in May 2008 after they allegedly recruited young French men to join Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the leader of Al Qaeda in Iraq.
