Folake Aremu, ace actress and wife of Jimoh Aliu, also famed actor known as Aworo, is dead. She died on Wednesday. This is coming months after the husband died. Though before Aliu died last September the marriage had hit the rocks, and they had gone their different ways.

She was popularly known as Orisabunmi, her stage name. A paragon of beauty, Folake was a darling of theatre lovers. She died barely three months after she clocked 60 last October 10. 

Orisabunmi had featured in television series like “Agbaarin” and “Yanpanyanrin” , she actually hit the limelight in the 80s when she featured in a popular Yoruba soap opera “Arelu”, where the husband also featured. The husband reportedly introduced her to acting.

She hailed from Ilu Ola in Kwara State.
