The police on Wednesday blocked from traffic major roads passing in front of police formations in Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital after reports of attacks on security formations in the neighbouring Imo State.
Affected were Moscow Road passing in front of the state command headquarters in Port Harcourt and part of Ikwerre Road in front of Mile One police station.
The exercise created serious holdups on the routes connecting the state secretariat complex and other adjoining roads.
Several security stations in Imo State had come under attack in Imo State including the Imo State Police Command Headquarters, the Correctional Services Base in Owerri and the Police Divisional Headquarters in Ehime Mbano.
