FUTA Gets New Bursar

The Council of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, FUTA, has appointed Emmanuel Oresegun, as the new Bursar of the Institution.

Oresegun holds the Higher National Diploma, HND, in Business Administration of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, Bachelor of Science Hons. Accounting from the Ogun State University, now Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Master of Business Administration, MBA, from the University of Ibadan, and a Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science, from the University of Agriculture, Abeokuta, UNAAB.

He started his work career in the Bursary Department of Ogun State University in February, 1986 as a Higher Executive Officer, Accounts. He joined the Bursary Department of the Federal College of Education Osiele, Abeokuta as a Senior Accountant in November, 1993 and rose to the position of Chief Accountant in October, 2002 before joining Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo as the Bursar between June 2006 and May 2011.

Oresegun also had a brief stint with the Tai Solarin College of Education, Ijebu Ode as Acting Bursar between October 2011 and October 2012 before joining the Federal College of Education, Osiele, Abeokuta again as the Bursar in June 2011. This position he held until his new appointment as the Bursar, FUTA.

Oresegun who has attended various conferences, workshops and seminars locally and internationally is an Associate member of the following professional bodies: Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, ANAN; Nigerian Institute of Management, NIM; Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, CITN, and the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply Management of Nigeria, CIPSM.

He also served as member of different committees in places where he worked in the past.
