Elders of Iruekpen community in Esan-West local government area OF Edo State have lamented the lack of basic amenities and insecurity in the community and prayed for the emergence of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Osagie Ize-Iyamu as governor in the September 19 gubernatorial poll. They expressed hope that that Ize-Iyamu’s victory would herald a new beginning and spark positive changes and development in the community. Iruekpen is the home town of a former governor of the state, Oserhiemen Osunbor, a professor of constitutional Law.

He appealed to Ize-Iyamu to improve the operations of the Police by providing a befitting building for the Divisional Police Headquarters within the community, and ensure steady electricity supply by facilitating a stable connection to the national grid if he is elected governor.

The elders offered prayers for Ize-Iyamu’s success at the polls and advised him to abide by the promises contained in his documented manifesto, the SIMPLE agenda, to move the State forward and restore inclusive governance.
