Chelsea forward Christopher Nkunku has officially completed a move to AC Milan in a transfer worth €42 million, bringing an end to his brief and injury-hit spell at Stamford Bridge.

The 27-year-old French international, who joined Chelsea in 2023 from RB Leipzig for over €60 million, struggled to establish himself in the Premier League after battling recurring injuries. Despite being highly rated for his creativity and attacking flair, Nkunku found limited opportunities under new Blues manager Enzo Maresca.

The deal with Milan is structured as a fixed €35 million fee plus add-ons, potentially taking the total package to €42 million. Nkunku has agreed to a five-year contract running until 2030, with the Rossoneri hopeful that his arrival will provide a much-needed boost to their attack ahead of the new Serie A campaign.

For Chelsea, the transfer provides crucial financial flexibility as the club continues its squad rebuild. Offloading Nkunku not only balances the books but also opens the door for further reinforcements before the transfer window closes.

Nkunku’s move to Milan marks a fresh start for the Frenchman, who will now aim to rediscover the form that once made him one of Europe’s most sought-after forwards. Meanwhile, AC Milan fans will be eager to see if the talented attacker can reignite his career in Italy.
