Ngozi Olejeme, politician and Delta State governorship hopeful on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP has been described as a sincere politician who is capable of repositioning the state and leading it toward development.
In a statement issued by Ika Elders’ Forum, Kingsley Nkenchor, leader of the group, described Olejeme as a brilliant, considerate and urbane candidate, adding that she will perform excellently as there is no godfather to control her affairs in office.
Similarly, Ukwuani leaders described Olejeme as the right person who will prepare a comprehensive plan for various sections to ensure overall development. “At this time when a new direction is needed for the state, Dr. Olejeme possesses the experience, vision, political wisdom, courage and humility needed for the important task, ” said George Ilome, leader of Ukwuani Think Tank. Ukwuani leaders stressed Olejeme’s achievements in the public sector and commended her for her impartiality and benevolence to all.
In the same vein, an Itsekiri group also urged Deltans to eschew gender discrimination and focus on individual personalities, recommending Olejeme who is the Director of Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund, NSITF, as an honest and accomplished administrator who has the required skills to take Delta State to greater heights.
Francis Diden, Chairman of Itsekiri Movement for Good Governance, IMFGG, who signed a statement on behalf of the group commended Olejeme for her contribution to the development of human resources in the state. “She is accessible and always ready to listen to all. Her ability to initiate plans and execute projects that will better the lot of the people is not in contention,” the group said.
The groups admonished PDP leaders to give Olejeme their full support to ensure victory and also called on all the people of Delta to mobilize their loved ones in voting Olejeme so that a bright future will be secured for the state.
Meanwhile, Okpe leaders have also expressed approval for Monday Igbuya, Majority Leader of Delta State House of Assembly to be reelected as representative of Sapele at the state House of Assembly, citing what they described as his commendable performance in his present tenure. “Igbuya is a good ambassador of Sapele Local Government Area. He has defended the cause of Sapele at the State Assembly and if given another chance, come 2015, Delta State in general and Sapele Local Government Area in particular will be great,” Darlington Ebireri, Chairman of Okpe Political Leaders Forum, OPLF, said in a statement.
