President Muhammadu Buhari arrived United States to begin a 4-day official visit to the western nation. While there the president will have discussions with his counterpart in the US, Barack Obama, among other crucial meetings on bilateral relations between the two countries.
Top on the agenda is the issue of security and retrieval of Nigeria’s stolen wealth believed to have been traced to the US. The president’s hope is hinged on the promises made by the US government to give support particularly in the two areas.
It is expected that this collaboration will aid the wars against corruption and terrorism, two areas where Nigeria is bleeding seriously. They also form the major pillars upon which Nigerians based their trust to vote for Buhari during the last general election.
