As part of its strategic thrust for brand building and extension, UAC Foods Limited, an indigenous conglomerate, and Tiger Brands Limited, a South African food company, has introduced Mini Gala Sausage Roll.
The new product, which is targeted at children as an extension of the Gala brand, was unveiled in Lagos recently during the rounding off ceremony of the free weekend classes organised by the company for students in Lagos State.
Tawanda Mushuku, managing director, UAC Foods Limited, explained that the new Mini Gala, which costs N25 only, is in response to the yearnings of the teeming Gala consumers obtained through constant consumer research and feedback mechanism. “As a consumer focused company with an obsession for identifying and meeting the needs of its teeming consumers, we have identified the need to introduce your delicious yummy Gala Sausage roll in a pack size that is just right for you and very friendly to your pocket” he said.
He noted that the company appreciates that students spend a substantial part of their day in the school and naturally will need something nutritious, filling and affordable like Gala to munch to keep them going and focused till the class sessions are over for the day.
