The United States embassy in Nigeria has condemned the incessant attacks on defenseless citizens in the past week in the country.
In a press statement issued on Monday by the U.S embassy in Nigeria, the U.S government condemned in strong terms the spate of attacks in the country in recent days.
The condemnation comes on the heels of the explosion that rocked the Technical College, Potiskum, Yobe State on Monday, November 10, 2014, where scores were feared killed and many others injured.
While offering its condolences, the U.S government urged the federal government to investigate these attacks and bring the perpetrators to justice.
“The United States offers its sincere sympathy to the injured and to the families of the murdered. We urge the government of Nigeria to investigate these and other attacks to bring the perpetrators to justice.
“The United States remains committed to supporting the people of northern Nigeria in their struggle to stop the abhorrent actions of Boko Haram and associated terrorist groups,” the statement read.
