Aize Obayan 59, former Vice-Chancellor of Covenant University Ota, and a Professor of Guidance and Counselling has been reported dead. Obayan, whose cause of death is yet unknown, was the Director of Covenant University’s Africa Leadership Development Centre (ALDC).
That was her second duty post after retiring as the vice chancellor of Covenant University in 2012.
She had gone to take up the job of vice chancellor of a sister university, Landmark University in Kwara State. Obayan died less than one year after winning her prolonged case at the Supreme Court against her former employer-
Born on March 4, 1960, to the family of Sir and Lady Frank Imouokhome in Edo State, she attended St. Andrews, Scotland, for her “A” Levels and later gained admission to the University of Benin for a B. Ed (English) degree from 1979 to 1982.
She attended the University of Ilorin, Kwara State for her Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Guidance and Counselling.
