Ahead of the February 14 general elections, former President Olusegun Obasanjo has urged Nigerians to vote wisely and allow sound judgment to prevail.
He said this was necessary as Nigeria does not deserve its present position.
Obasanjo said this on Monday, while receiving a group of women identified as South-West Women leaders at his Presidential Hilltop Estate, Abeokuta, Ogun State.
“The nation bleeds under the yoke of crippling poverty, sheer impunity, economic downturn and insecurity.
“The leaders elected to make things better for the people but are doing the contrary would give account to God,” he said.
Some of the women who visited the former President include Alaba Lawson, Iyalode of Yorubaland, and Folashade Tinubu – Ojo, Iyaloja-General of Nigeria among others.
