The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, is to receive a minimum of $8 million from the Federation Internationale de Football Association, FIFA, for participating in the 2014 World Cup.
Regardless of whether the Super Eagles wins the first round or not, $8million would be disbursed to the federation, as it is the minimum graduated prize on FIFA structure for all the 32 teams participating in the World Cup.
As stated in the World Cup prize structure, getting to the round of 16 earns additional $1million for participating teams while those who make it to the quarter final gets $14 million.
The team that wins the World Cup final goes home with $35 million while $25 million and $22 million await the runner-up and the second runner-up respectively.
