Singer, Davido is seething at the moment as his much anticipated New York Spring Mega concert billed for March 28, was out off at the last minute on the orders of the New York Police Department, NYPD, US.
The NYPD stormed the venue and stopped the show from taking off for being over-packed. Reacting to the development on his twitter page, Davido said, “damn my NY was too packed police shut it down. The love and support that came out was overwhelming. I will be back, really sad.”
The show was already sold out with regulars paying $40 (N6, 600) and VIP $650 (N107, 250). Arrangements are now in top gear in order to re-make the show but this time using a larger venue to accommodate his teeming fans.
The show was supposed to be Davido’s first as he kicks off US/Canada Tour 2014. He has other shows lined up for D.C, Minnesota; Dallas, Texas on Friday, April 4 before making a final stop in Toronto, Canada on April 5.
