Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim has been appointed as the new Director-General of the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Sulaiman-Ibrahim replaced the sacked Julie Okah-Donli. A lawyer from the South-South zone of the country, who has been the head of the agency since April 2017.
According to a statement released titled, ‘President Buhari Appoints Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim As Director-General, NAPTIP’ issued by Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Publicity, on Tuesday December 1. Sulaiman-Ibrahim, hails from Nasarawa State. She is a holder of BSc (Sociology), Masters of Arts (Management) and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degrees. She was a member of the Nasarawa State Economic Advisory Council as well as Special Adviser on Strategic Communication to the Minister of State for Education.’’
