Mauro Icardi Wins Major Divorce Court Battle as Italian Court Rejects Wanda Nara’s €480,000 Monthly Claims
The Argentine football star celebrates a major legal victory after an Italian court dismisses Wanda Nara’s huge temporary financial demands, but the high-profile divorce battle is still awaiting a final settlement.
Argentine football star Mauro Icardi has secured a major legal victory in his high-profile divorce battle with Wanda Nara after an Italian court rejected her multimillion-euro financial demands and dismissed her appeal.
The latest development in the bitter separation between the former couple saw Italian judges rule against Nara’s request for temporary financial support, which Icardi said would have amounted to about €480,000 per month.
In a statement shared on his Instagram Stories, the 33-year-old striker disclosed details of the financial claims presented by Nara’s legal team during the divorce proceedings. According to Icardi, the demands included €250,000 monthly for Nara herself, €65,000 per month for each of their two daughters, and an additional €100,000 monthly compensation request linked to the divorce.
Reacting to the court decision, Icardi wrote: “Good morning Milan. Over here, it’s all good news. There has been a new ruling.”
The footballer said the court rejected the claims on June 1, 2026, describing the demands as excessive. He added that after Nara’s side challenged the decision, the Italian courts on July 27 dismissed the appeal, declaring it “inadmissible.”
“This effectively puts an end to all claims and demands. There is now only one final step left before the divorce judgement is finalised,” Icardi said, while praising the Italian justice system.
The decision from the Milan Tribunal, under Judge Anna Cattaneo, reportedly found that Nara was not entitled to provisional maintenance payments during the ongoing divorce proceedings.
The court considered Nara’s professional career, business activities, and financial position, describing her economic situation as “very prosperous” (molto florida). Judges reportedly noted that she is professionally qualified, financially independent, and capable of generating her own income.
Icardi and Nara, who married in 2014, share two daughters and have been involved in a highly publicised separation that has attracted attention across Italy, Argentina, and the global football community.
Their divorce proceedings have featured public disagreements, financial disputes, and legal battles over various issues, including family arrangements. Some matters involving their children remain subject to international jurisdiction rules because the children’s main residence has been outside Italy.
Following Icardi’s announcement, Nara responded publicly, insisting that the divorce case is not yet concluded and that final decisions regarding compensation are still pending.
She maintained that she remains entitled to financial support under the final divorce judgment and highlighted her own professional work while also questioning aspects of Icardi’s current situation.
Although the latest ruling represents a significant legal setback for Nara and a victory for Icardi, the divorce proceedings are not completely over. Final decisions on the dissolution of the marriage, permanent financial arrangements, and outstanding family matters are still expected.
The case remains one of the most closely followed celebrity divorce battles in football, with developments between Icardi and Nara continuing to attract widespread media attention worldwide.
