The Lagos State University, LASU, on Friday, announced the appointment of Senapon Bakre as acting Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academics of the institution after the expiration of her tenure as substantive DVC Academics in February.
This was disclosed in the university’s official bulletin. The bulletin said the appointment took effect from February 14 and would run till April 9, 2015.
A letter signed by Lewis Akinwunmi, the Registrar notified Bakre of her appointment and wished her a successful tenure in office.
Bakre is a professor of Microbiology in the Department of Microbiology, Faculty of Science, LASU.
Her appointment as acting DVC is as a result of the postponement of the election of the university’s new DVC, earlier fixed for February.
