President Goodluck Jonathan on Thursday ordered security forces to launch a full-scale military operation to put an end to the impunity of the Boko Haram insurgent group in Nigeria.
He gave the directive in his democracy day address.
The president said that Nigeria’s unity and stability as well as the protection of lives and property were non-negotiable.
He restated the determination of his government to protect the country’s democracy, national unity and political stability, and one of the ways to achieve this aims, is by waging a total war against terrorism.
Jonathan said the mayhem caused by the activities of terror groups in the country had caused debilitating pains and horror on the nation particularly, the abduction of the Chibok schoolgirls in Borno.Follow Us on Social Media
