Iwo town in Osun State now has an additional tertiary institution. A federal college of education is to be sited in the town. A message to this effect was contained in a letter to the state government.
Federal Government on May 13, announced the siting of the recently approved Federal College of Education for the state in Iwo. The letter dated April 16, 2020, addressed to Governor Adegboyega Oyetola and signed by Sonny Echono, Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education conveyed the news.
The letter said officials of the Federal Government will soon visit the proposed site for the educational institution with a view to ensuring the commencement of academic activities in October 2020.
