No fewer than 10 persons were reportedly killed in a renewed clash between herdsmen and farmers in Safana Local Government Area of Katsina State. Katsina is the home state of President Muhammadu Buhari.
Emir of Kastina, Abdulmumini Kabir Usman disclosed this on Wednesday when he received in his palace, a group, Queen Dijah, a Women and Children Awareness Initiative working around issues of drug abuse, rape and violence against women.
The Emir said: “On Monday 19th of November 2018, we got a report that Fulani herdsmen invaded Safana farm lands and 10 were killed.”
He urged the villager to discuss with elders, traditional and religious leaders in other to champion a course on the ugly menace and way forward.
Earlier, Hajiya Khadijah Saulawa, chairperson of the group said: “the organization is out to give back to the society its contribution towards a crime free society through sensitization and awareness on the dangers associated with drug abuse and other social vices.”
