First Non-Bank Credit Card Launched in Nigeria

03 CAPITAL has launched the first non-bank credit card called 03 Credit Cards in Nigeria.

The event took place at the Southern Sun Hotel, Ikoyi, Lagos on Thursday August 28.

03 Capital is a Nigerian owned financial institution that offers various consumer loans using the credit card as its delivery channel. Its operating systems would run on certified platforms that are PCI DSS certified in line with international security standards issued by the Payment card industry security standards council, PCI SSC.

Speaking at the event, Bode Emmanuel, chairman of 03 Capital, congratulated the group for the achievement and for bringing the dream of having the first non bank credit card in Nigeria into reality. “We are convinced this is something that is going to be meaningful in developing the economy,” he stated.

Also commenting during the launch, Abimbola Pinleiru, CEO 03 Capital, disclosed that the company is delighted to be finally launching a dream that was conceived three years ago.

03 Credit card eliminate the issue of being cash strapped and it gives access to ATM, POS, making purchase and withdrawal possible at any bank.

“We want to take cashless policy to the next level, we want every Nigerian to have 03 Credit card in his or her wallet,” he explained.
