The Federal Government has declared Wednesday, December 25; Thursday, December 26, 2024; and Wednesday, January 1, 2025, as public holidays to mark Christmas, Boxing Day, and New Year celebrations, even as it predicts a stronger economy for Nigeria in 2025.
Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who announced this on behalf of the federal government, conveyed warm festive greetings to all Nigerians, and encouraged them to use the season as an opportunity to reflect on the values of love, peace, and unity that define the period.
Underscoring the importance of fostering harmony and strengthening bonds within families and communities, the Minister urged Nigerians to remain steadfast in their commitment to national peace, unity, and progress, which he noted, are essential for development.
