Falcon Corporation Limited, a leading force in Nigeria’s gas and energy sector, has announced a historic leadership transition that will reshape the company’s future.
Effective January 1, 2026, Co-Founder and Deputy Managing Director, Mrs. Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer following the retirement of her husband and Co-Founder, Professor Joseph Ezigbo. His exit marks the end of 31 years of transformative leadership that elevated Falcon from a fledgling start-up into one of the most respected players in Nigeria’s energy industry.
Under Professor Ezigbo’s guidance, Falcon became synonymous with operational excellence, industry innovation, and a values-driven approach that prioritised both community and environmental responsibility. Reflecting on his journey, he described leading the company as “the honour of my professional life,” expressing complete confidence in Audrey’s ability to drive Falcon’s next phase of growth.
“She and I started this company in 1994, and together we have built it into the formidable entity it is today,” he said. “Her unmatched expertise, strategic vision, and passion for excellence are exactly what Falcon needs as it steps into a new era.”
The Board of Directors unanimously endorsed Mrs. Joe-Ezigbo’s appointment, praising her extensive experience and proven track record. With over three decades in the energy sector, she has spearheaded Falcon’s strategic initiatives, expanded its reach, and strengthened partnerships across the nation.
In her acceptance speech, Mrs. Joe-Ezigbo described the moment as a pivotal one in the company’s journey. “As a Co-Founder and integral part of Falcon from day one, I am committed to building on the strong foundation we have laid. My focus will be on accelerating growth, driving innovation, and sustaining operational excellence while ensuring we continue to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve.”
The appointment signals a new era for Falcon Corporation, one anchored on continuity, innovation, and sustainable leadership, as the company reaffirms its position as a trailblazer in Nigeria’s energy sector.
