Sambo Dasuki, former National Security Adviser, NSA has been finally arrested by the Directorate of State Service, DSS. The operatives had laid siege on his residence in Abuja since he got a court injunction to be allowed to travel abroad on medical grounds. Though he got another court judgment re-affirming the first one, the operatives said to be there on the orders of President Muhammadu Buhari did not vacate the residence.
He is said to be under investigation for some phony defence contracts while serving the government of former president, Goodluck Jonathan.
Before he was charged to court the first time, Dasuki’s residence was searched in Abuja and so was that of his father searched in Sokoto. The security operatives said they found arms in his house then. But recent reports indicate that his attention was needed for his involvement in the defence contracts.
