A Canada-based Nigerian woman has stunned social media users after revealing how she travelled from Nigeria to Canada entirely by land, passing through multiple countries in South and Central America.

In a viral video, the woman explained that unlike others who fly directly, she embarked on a daring land journey that took her through Guyana, Brazil, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Honduras, Guatemala, Mexico, the United States, and finally Canada.

Her revelation left many shocked, with one listener exclaiming: “Wait, you went through land to Canada?”

According to her, the most dangerous part of the trip was in Colombia, where travelers often encounter armed groups and bandits. She explained that she prepared for such situations by budgeting $50 “thief money” to hand over if stopped, to avoid violence.

“Don’t drag with them,” she warned. “If it’s your phone, give them. If it’s money, give them. They will let you go because they still have others to deal with. If you refuse, they can injure you or worse, and no one will wait for you on that road.”

The woman compared some of the extortion checkpoints to those seen on certain Nigerian roads, where local groups demand money from drivers. She stressed that patience, obedience, and financial preparedness were key to surviving the treacherous route.

Her extraordinary story has since gone viral, with many Nigerians expressing both shock and admiration at her resilience and determination to reach Canada against all odds.
