Mohammadu Buhari, retired general and former head of state, has emerged the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC for the 2015 Presidential elections.
Buhari was declared winner of the election held in Lagos after polling 3,430 votes to defeat all the other contestants in the keenly contested election.
Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President and one of the aspirants in the just concluded Presidential primary of the APC has congratulated Buhari.
The former military head of state was followed by Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, Kano State governor who polled 974 to stay ahead of Abubakar who polled 954 votes. Rochas Okorocha, Imo State governor polled 624 votes ahead of Sam Ndah-Isaiah who scored 10 votes.
“Congratulations General Buhari. The delegates have spoken, you fully deserve the victory,” Abubakar wrote on his twitter handle on Thursday.
